Quick Help
Do I need an Appliance Adapter ?
The appliance adapter is a great way to easily connect your BEST-Flex 316TI Liner to your High Efficiency Gas Appliance, Water Heater, or Oil Furnace. Order the same size adapter as your liner. The liner will slide inside the female end with the clamps and the opposite end will slide over the outlet on your appliance. Don't forget to attach the adapter to the appliance collar with stainless steel screws or 316 rivets.
What is the difference between a Coupler & EZ Coupler?
Both couplers are made female at one end to accept the liner and male on the other end to fit inside the next section of BEST-Flex liner. The standard Coupler must be secured to the liner with 316 rivets or stainless steel screws. The EZ Coupler secures the two pieces of liner together by tightening the hose clamps.
When would I need an Extended Tee Snout & what is it for?
You may need an extended tee snout if the standard 10" long take-off/snout on the tee is not long enough to reach through your thimble in the wall. Available in 18" and 24" lengths, it simply replaces the "snout" on the original tee.
What can I use to attach to the BEST-Flex liner if I have to install it from the bottom & pull it up through the chimney?
A nose cone is what you need! It's got a loop at the end to attach your rope or chain to! Just order the same size as your BEST-Flex 316TI Liner.
What is the difference between a BEST- Top Plate, Top Plate & Flue Fit Top Plate?
Each is used to support the weight of your liner in your chimney. The standard Top Plate must be used with a Top Support Clamp and Storm Collar. This is the traditional method of supporting the liner. However, the BEST way is with our BEST- Top Plate or Flue Fit Top Plate. The Flue Fit Top Plate is made to fit on top of an existing clay flue tile that sticks up above the crown of your chimney. The Top Plate is made to fit over the entire opening of the chimney especially where no clay flue tile is present. They are both secured to the BEST-Flex liner simply by tightening the hose clamps on the collar of the top plate. The Top Plate are secured to the top of the chimney with silicone whereas the Flue Fit Top Plate is secured to the flue tile by tightening the screws on the sides of the plate.
