What types of steel are BEST- Liners & Components made of?
We offer a variety of chimney materials for your lining and relining needs. Please use the following information as a guide in determining what type of steel to use for your appliance.
316TI can be used to vent ALL types of FUELS including; solid fuels (wood, wood pellet, & corn), oil, gas & coal. This is why it is known as the "ALL FUELS" steel. It is resistant to the corrosive elements common to high efficiency gas & oil flue gasses.
304 is for venting WOOD & WOOD PELLET burning appliances ONLY.
ALUMINUM can be used to vent Category I GAS appliances that have an efficiency of 83% or LOWER.
